Recep Tayyip Erdogan | Golden Speech
Hulagu, the grandson of Genghis Khan who is the founder of Mongol Empire conquers Baghdad and pillages the city. Some sources say 200,000 and some sources say 400,000 people were killed because of that.
Baghdad’s ancient Masjid, palaces and libraries were ruined hy Hulagu’s soldiers.
That oppressor emperor (Hulagu) camped outside of the city and sent news : He said that he wanted to see the biggest scholar of the city.
Ofcourse, no scholar wanted to see Hulagu Khan. In the end, a young Madarsah teacher named Kadihan volunteers to see him.
It’s really surprising, I want you to listen to it carefully.
He (Kadihan) goes there with a camel, a goat and a rooster. He arrives at Hulagu’s quarters. Hulagu eyes him out from head to toe and asks, “Are you really who they found?”
Kadihan says: “There is a camel waiting outside if you want to see someone big, there is a goat waiting outside if you want to see someone with beard, there’s a rooster waiting outside if you want to see someone with strong voice. You can call any of them.
After Hulagu understands that he is a wise person, he asks: “Tell me, what was the reason that brought me here?”
Young Scholar Answers: Our actions brought you here. We were not thankful for what Allah gave us and we only cared about pleasure and comfort. We ran after positions and properties.
Allah sent you to take back what He gave us before.
After that, Hulagu asked his second question, “Who can send me away from here?”
This is also surprising.
“If we find ourselves, be thankful for what is given to us and give up fighting each other then you won’t stay here anymore.”
My brothers and sisters do you understand what i mean ? We will give up fighting each other
