Govt to sell onions at Rs 35 per kg at Hyderabad Rythu Bazaars

#Hyderabad: With onions costing Rs 100 per kg in the market, the State government has decided to sell them at a subsidised price of Rs 35 per kg through 11 Rythu Bazaars across Hyderabad. On producing an identification card, each person can purchase upto 2 kg onion from the government stall at the Rythu Bazaars.

Since the first week of October, onion prices have been on the rise, with retail shops and grocery stores increasing the prices. Even in Rythu bazaars, which sell vegetables at wholesale prices, customers had to buy them at Rs 80-90 per kg.
